THE MUAY THAI CONSPIRACY

This will be the third book in the Conspiracy series and the second based in Koh Samui.

Ben continues with his daily grind at Baileys solicitors, whilst living on the idyllic tropical island. His unrequited feelings for his young solicitor Kelly are beginning to unsettle him, and so he looks elsewhere for comfort. He joins a residential Fight Camp camp on the island, and learns the basic principles of Muay Thai, the Thai national sport. Whilst holidaying in the UK for Christmas, he receives a telephone call informing him of a fatal tragedy involving one of his boxing friends at the camp, knocked out and killed in a Muay Thai fight at the local Chaweng Stadium in front of thousands of people, and live on national television.

Upon his return to Samui, Ben’s is told by his Fight Camp friends of their suspicions that the tragedy may not have been an accident. He subsequently discovers that the usual after-fight inspection and unwrapping procedures were not followed. This leads to an interview with the fight inspector from the Thailand Muay Thai Board of Control, which confirms such suspicions.

Ben recruits his former private investigator in Hong Kong to come to Samui to probe further. Suspicion falls upon the fight referee and Hugo’s opponent that night, a famous Muay Thai fighter. Stan’s inquiries confirm Ben’s concerns. Hugo was murdered.

Further investigations reveal a Mexican drug cartel, a corrupt and stop-at-nothing local Samui family, and a conspiracy which involves the highest echelons of Thai society, all of which led to Hugo’s death.

With the help of his former legal colleagues from Hong Kong, Ben attempts to uncover the conspiracy in an explosive court case, that leads all concerned into serious personal danger. Will Ben and his team be able to publically uncover the true facts before they themselves fall victim to the conspirators?
